Beyond that, just make sure you have a little of everything and you’ll be fine. You’ll need A LOT of pink plorts, but you should be set with your pink-rock largos. You asked about profitable largos, but consider that you’ll need plorts for slime science as well. It’s always such a bummer to find a pod and realize you can’t open it, especially when there’s not a way to mark things on the map!

I didn’t realize this my first playthrough, so I’d gotten all the way to the end of the story without being able to access most of the treasure pods. Second, making gadgets is how you unlock the treasure pod crackers. It takes time for the extractors to work, so it’s best to get an early start. There are two big reasons for this:įirst, you’ll want to stock up on science resources early so you have plenty to work with by the time you get the good gadget plans. After that, unlock the lab expansion as soon as possible, and start making as many gadgets as you can (but keep in mind you can only have up to six of each extractor in the world at a time). You’ll probably want to unlock the overgrowth ranch expansion first - not just because of the natural resources, but because of the rewards for Ogden’s side quest.
